Posted November 08, 2020 07:03:40 When the world cup rolls around, the most chilling game of horror in Australia is the slasher.
In 2017, the world was plunged into an inferno that killed more than 300,000 people.
Now the game has come back, this time in the form of a horror classic.
The World Cup is coming up this year and there is a new slasher coming to Australia.
The Slasher Cup is a live event and has been in Melbourne since January.
“It’s one of the most popular things in Melbourne for horror fans and it’s not even close,” Melbourne resident and co-organiser of the event, Emily Bowers, said.
The event has been organised by Melbourne’s Black Rock horror festival, Black Rock Horror Festivals.
The festival was established in 2007 and has grown into a global phenomenon.
“We’re lucky to be in a place where we have such a vibrant, vibrant community of horror fans, people from all walks of life,” Ms Bowers said.
“So we’re really lucky to have this event here.”
The Black Rock event has held regular events since the 1990s.
It has grown to become one of Australia’s largest horror events.
“You can get up to 10 people in a group and it can be really scary, you can get very high, very loud and it might not be fun,” Ms Ahern said.
Black Rock Horror Festival, a non-profit, has had over 150,000 attendees since its inception in 2006.
It has a history of having a huge amount of fun, and a large amount of people that come.
“The main thing we want to do is give back to the community by having events and getting people together to enjoy a great night out,” Ms Jevans said.
For the first time in 2017, Black Rose will be holding a Black Rock Halloween event, she said.
While the events are geared towards the horror community, the Black Rock festival has also had events for all ages, including people with autism.
“They’re a very diverse group,” Ms Gann said.
In 2018, the festival hosted its first-ever Halloween party in the city.
It was so successful that in 2019 it expanded the event to Melbourne’s CBD, hosting the annual Halloween Party in the CBD.
“I think the success of the Halloween Party is the first step in helping grow the BlackRock festival, because we can really tap into the potential of BlackRock and give them that much more support,” Ms Seddon said.
She said the festival’s success has helped grow BlackRock in the past year, with more events planned in 2018.
“What we’re doing with BlackRock is giving them a platform for a more diverse audience and we’re seeing a lot of that,” Ms Coyle said.
Tickets for the event go on sale at 11:00am on November 11.
